How to choose a toilet

Water Closets (commonly toilets) are not all exactly the same. There are variations that allow you to choose more comfortable, higher quality, and more powerful flush designs. Some of the major features are discribed here.

Material Benefits
Gravity Fed

Gravity powered water closets are the most common type of toilets. They use the force of gravity to expel the refuse.

Siphon Jet

A siphon jet is similar to a Gravity Fed toilet, with the exception being the addition of an opening in front of the trap way that shoots a jet of water to help expel the refuse. This improves the performance of the flush.

Pressure Assist

Pressure Assist water closets are powered by compressed air entrapped in a special pressure tank. When flushed, the air forces the water out at great velocity through the trapway.
